
I first met Nataliya Knyaz in July 2017 when I registered for a boxing class that she was going to teach. The class would run twice weekly for six weeks. At 58 years of age and very overweight I was nervous but determined to keep up with everyone else. Of course, Nataliya did a wonderful job of encouraging and motivating all of us. A week or two after the class began, Nataliya suggested that we meet to discuss my fitness goals. I began personal training with her shortly afterwards and it has been a transformative experience. We set realistic and attainable short-term and long-term weight loss and fitness goals.
To date, I have lost forty six pounds and I am well on the way to reaching my target weight! More importantly, I am in better shape physically than I have ever been in my entire life. My doctor has cut my high blood pressure medication in half and I no longer take a diurectic as well. The doctor was smiling at my last appointment and asked me what had changed. Working with Nataliya is what changed. Nataliya is a true professional and fearless too. She listens to you and helps you move past the limitations you have set for yourself. Sometimes, she will offer you tough love but always with compassion and kindness. She also adapts the training programme as you progress – it is consistently challenging and innovative.
Nataliya, I can’t thank you enough for taking me on – it hasn’t been easy but I always felt hopeful and excited working with you. I’m looking forward to continuing to work with you and setting new goals and achievements. Life is good.

I started my fitness journey with Nataliya 3 month after the birth of my second child. I was 35Lb heavier then my pre-baby weight and I hadn’t been to the gym for about 5 years. I really didn’t know where to start with my workout. Nataliya helped my to safely get back into fitness by providing new, challenging workouts that were tailored to my postpartum body each time I saw her. She incorporated boxing (her specialty) into our cardio sessions which was a fun change from the typical cardio machines and the ever hated burpees. She always had a positive attitude, but wasn’t afraid to encourage me to push a little harder when I felt like giving up.
With Nataliya’s help I have lost 35 Lbs (170 Lbs to 135 Lbs), 6 inches around my hips, 4 inches around my waist, 3 inches around each thigh, 1,5 inches around each arm and all that in just over 7 months! I am stronger them I have ever been and I now have the energy to keep up with my busy little family.

I started working out with Nataliya over 4 years ago in-person when I was living in Canada and we continue to work out remotely to this day. I was originally seeking someone to just help me keep the weight off. What I found was a fitness trainer, a health advocate and a friend.
Nataliya does an amazing job at planning for the long term both to meet my goals and avoid injury. As an “older” person working out, Nataliya is there to motivate and encourage me, while educating on the “why” we are doing a particular exercise. She catalogs each exercise and is 100% focused on me while working out, providing corrections in form and celebrating personal bests. Since you cannot just work on muscles, we also discuss dietary and health needs focusing on holistic health tailored to where I am in my journey. This usually looks like discussions on how much protein or vitamin C is enough and when to ingest. Our workouts are varied enough to keep it interesting and show progress in multiple muscle groups. Currently, we target the whole body breaking up 3x per week with focus on: chest, abs, lats, shoulders, bi/triceps, glutes and legs. My favorite part is seeing something that I was not able to do before (eg. pull-ups, push-ups) become something I don’t even wince at anymore.
The results are fantastic! My kids say I am aging backwards. Strangers don’t believe my age. I am proud to be in shape and have a consistent workout partner like Nataliya.

Nataliya is always very cheerful, has a positive demeanour and an infectious laugh. I’ve been working out with Nataliya for almost four years now, and I can confidently say that she is excellent in every sense of the word. It has now been a year since I started working out with Nataliya – three times per week, two for training and one for boxing. I can go on and on about her technical skills and knowledge she has of how the human body works and how nutrition has an impact on all we do; however, we all know that the personal trainers have all of that, otherwise we wouldn’t seek their help!
